Tasting Notes
The 2022 Dutton Ranch Chardonnay is a fresh and vibrant wine. Showing beautifully integrated fruit notes of pear and lemon curd with hints of white chocolate, honeysuckle and roasted hazelnuts. The balanced structure of this wine is freshened by bright acidity contributing to the elegant and persistent finish. Wonderfully open knit to drink now but will age gracefully in the cellar up to 5 years.
Vineyard Notes
Our Chardonnay is sourced from the “Big Block” and the “Old Rome Block” at Dutton Ranch from vines that are a mix of the Wente Clone, Clone 15, and Mt. Eden Clone. The clusters are tiny, typical for the Sonoma Coast, and produce wines of exceptional clarity and brightness.
